      First Aid Courses on Offer

      HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

(Includes HLTAID010 provide basic emergency life support & HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation)

Provide First Aid is the certificate most businesses ask for when you begin employment. This comprehensive course will cover how to assist with a range of injuries and illnesses, including but not limited to burns, spider bites, cuts, broken bones and more. It will also teach you how to deliver cardiopulmonary resuscitation to someone experiencing cardiac arrest or who has stopped breathing.

Learn online or face-to-face and experience what it’s like to have control of your learning. At First Aid Courses Sydney, we are passionate about helping people succeed, so if you’re a learner who likes to be hands-on and finish a course in less than a day, or someone who wants to stop and start from the comfort of their own home, we can help you! As it is a requirement to pass the course, please note that if you choose to learn online, you will just need to attend a training session for two hours to demonstrate your learning in front of one of our friendly trainers.

HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

This course needs to be completed annually and is accredited by the Australian Resuscitation Council. Learn how to deliver lifesaving chest compressions and breaths to someone who has stopped breathing or is experiencing a cardiac arrest. It is important to learn CPR as 9 out of 10 people who experience a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital environment do not survive.

The course takes just two hours face-to-face or go at your own pace online before heading into a training venue to attend an hour practical to demonstrate CPR on a manikin and use an AED. With AED’s now accessible at many venues, including gyms and supermarkets, it is important to know how to use them to save lives. This course will leave you with confidence in responding to these emergencies.

HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

If you work in education or childcare, this course will help you attend to young people, adults and babies in distress. Learn about illnesses and injuries frequent in children and how to deliver CPR to the younger age groups and adults. Also known as Childcare First Aid, the training is centred around giving you the tools to succeed in your role as a carer and keeping those who you care for safe.

The course is just 6.5 hours in person, or go online for 2 hours face to face and the rest at your own pace. Fit your learning around your course, and it could even count towards your CPD points!
